Seeing Triple

The elementary school I teach at held a spirit day today. Twin Day - well... Triplet Day in our case. Two of my fellow teachers and I dressed up. Can you guess which bump is genuine?

Week 25

Just a little over three months to go... time is passing much too quickly!

Click on any image to enlarge. Here are a few recent pictures of my growing bump...
Baby now weighs over 1.5 pounds which is about the average size of a rutabaga (not sure if that is a helpful comparison as I don't often pick up rutabaga's from the grocery store) and measures over 13 inches long. He/she is also starting to get color and texture to his/her hair.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! We are still deciding on baby names so check out the side panel and vote on your favorites.

Week 24

Baby's tiny face is almost fully formed now and (s)he is very busy continuing to develop taste buds and branches of the respiratory lung tree. Whew! Sounds like hard work.

Week 23

Baby can now sense my movement, feel me dance, and is able to hear sounds from the outside world... so (s)he is definitely going to be born already knowing how to do the hokey pokey and play ring-around-the-roses. That's about the extent of my dancing these days with my dance partner Avrey. Baby is moving around and making so many movements inside me lately I get the feeling (s)he may already be playing along with us.

Week 22

This is a big week for baby - (s)he now has tooth buds beneath his/her gums, is definitely over a pound in weight, and is about the size of a spaghetti squash. I think I am going to have to say 'goodbye' to the fruit analogies soon... it could get a little frightening considering some of the vegetation that may be coming up could involve watermelons and pumpkins.

Ultrasound (21 weeks & 2 days)

Here are some images from our latest ultrasound. I am 21 weeks & 2 days pregnant but baby is measuring 21 weeks & 4 days (over achieving already - this baby is going to be just like daddy too). Baby is measuring about 12.8 cm and weighs about 1 pound.

Baby was very active during the sonogram. In the image below (s)he is grabbing her/his toes.
This picture is a good shot of the baby's face close up - look at that cute little nose (she/he gets that from me).
In the picture below baby is in the perfect pike position - I think (s)he is going to be an Olympic diver some day. Look at that flawless form!
See... this is the kind of kicking and punching I was talking about in my last blog post. Too much exposure to daddy's Wii playing.

Week 21

Baby is now the length of a carrot and will be focusing on gaining weight from here on out. Baby's length will still double before birth but his/her weight will increase at least ten fold. I think momma may be watching daddy play too much Wii because baby is starting to punch, kick, and move like (s)he is already a natural.

Week 20

Half way there already???? NO WAY!

20 weeks of pregnancy down and 20 more to go.

Baby is now the length of a banana - wow! I can't wait to see him/her again and I don't have to wait too long because we go for our next ultrasound (the big 20 week one; although we will be over 21 weeks pregnant) next week.

No peeking though... we are keeping the baby's sex a SECRET this time!

Week 19

Baby is now the size of a large mango and is covered in vernix (anti-wrinkle cream for babies). Baby is moving around more and more each day - sometimes I wonder if (s)he is doing aquacize?!
